The truth is you never know when you are going to need one, so it is best to be prepared. Of course, scanners are very handy to have in the home as well, for preserving valuable photos and documents. Most household scanners are part of multi-function printers but if you want a scanner with a longer life and that produces better image quality, a stand-alone scanner is recommended.

We offer an array of document scanners, both portable and desktop, for home or office use. We deal only in the best brands including Brother, Cannon and Epson. If you don’t know much about scanners, here is a brief introduction.

Scanners operate by using light sensitive sensors which scan, capture and convert scanned objects into digital images. They are perfect for backing up valuable documents and images such as old photos or newspaper articles but can also be very handy to have in an office environment. There are three things to watch out for when shopping for a scanner: resolution, bit depth and speed. Resolution is measured in dots per inch (dpi) but also pixels per inch (ppi). The higher the number, the better the resolution of the scanned image. Bit depth measures detail and depth of colour and, again, the higher the number, the better the image quality. Scanners vary in the number of images or documents they can scan in a minute. Speeds range from 3 pages per minute to 45 pages per minute. It’s important to know how much and how often you will need to scan before purchasing a scanner.

Of course, price is also a consideration. We have scanners to suit every budget but we deal only in the best brands so there is no risk when you purchase from us.

Document Scanners

Whatever kind of scanner you need – portable, compact, desktop or home – we offer a broad range of options. It would be a broader range, only we limit ourselves to the best brands and models. These include machines by Brother, Canon and Epson: three giants of the printer and scanner world.

The advent of the laptop computer has made conducting business ‘on the go’ easier than ever. It has freed up professionals and executives from the workplace so that they can perform tasks independently, often while commuting or in a café or anywhere with a tabletop. The creation of the portable scanner has enhanced the experience of on the go business. Its main purpose is to scan documents pretty much wherever is convenient. Connect it to your laptop via a USB cable and simply scan and upload to your machine. It’s simple and easy to use and can be stored in all but the smallest bags and cases.

Just about all our portable scanners are made by Brother because, in our view, they are the best make for this kind of scanner. They also make excellent compact and desktop scanners.

If you look at the desktop models on offer, you will see how much the scanner has evolved since it first came into demand some decades ago. Not only do they look different, the technology has also evolved so that they are faster and scan better than ever. Most of our desktop scanners are by Brother but we also sell models by Canon. Any busy office environment will need a powerful, long lasting and reliable scanner that doesn’t need maintenance. Our desktop scanners meet these requirements and more.

The best home scanners, like the best home printers, are made by Epson. That is why all our home scanners are made by this brand. Home users are more likely to use scanners for photos rather than documents and that is why our Epson machines are especially designed for this purpose. Upload images that are almost as crisp and clear as the original photo itself, so you can print it out again with virtually the same quality colour and resolution.

B2B do both the popular Fujitsu Snapscan and the Epson v600 scanner. If you are after a Canon Scanner we do the LiDE 3 and 400's.

The scanners generally come with as a flatbed but some come as feed-only. They come in the most popular brands - Epson, Fujitsu, HP, Brother and Canon.

Photo Scanners

Photo scanners are very popular now - the resolution you can now get is very good. Many people use photo scanners for scanning and organising their old photos. They are also used to restore old photos using photo editing software such as Adobe's photoshop or Corel's photo editor. Many photo scanners can now also scan and display 3.5mm film and slides.
